FENIX: A Platform for Visibility and Connection
Led by Wendy B. Luetz, FENIX creates a space where experiences resonate, raise awareness, and strengthen bonds within a community that deserves recognition and representation.
Our Story
FENIX was born out of the need to give a voice to those who have remained invisible for too long.
More than just a podcast, FENIX is a space where these experiences find recognition and resonance.
Through our language, Spanish, we connect those who have faced vulnerability—from gender-based violence, disability, and social exclusion to the challenges of starting over in a foreign country—with a community ready to listen, understand, and learn.
Every story told is an opportunity to spark conversations, challenge stigmas, and shed light on realities that often go unnoticed.
FENIX is a safe space where the voices of those who have been silenced gain meaning, inspiring and connecting lives.
About Wendy
Weaving Stories of Resilience
With deep roots in the vibrant landscapes of Bolivia, Wendy has built a life shaped by multiculturalism and lifelong learning. Her experiences in Italy, Germany, Mexico, the United States, and Australia have enriched her identity, allowing her to embrace and appreciate the diversity of stories and cultures.
"My identity is a mosaic of accents and cultures, reflecting the richness of the diversity I have embraced."
But her story is not just defined by her multicultural background. From an early age, she faced experiences that put her safety at risk, and in adulthood, she lived through gender-based violence. Wendy understands vulnerability and the deep impact of feeling powerless in one’s own home.
She also knows how hard it is to find spaces where one can share their story without fear of judgment. Yet, her journey has been one of reinvention, healing, and continuous transformation.
As a migrant, woman, and communicator, Wendy understands what it feels like to be invisible in a place where language barriers, cultural differences, and lack of representation can leave many voices unheard.
Her own story of resilience and transformation has given her the conviction that every testimony deserves to be heard, honoured, and made visible. Through FENIX, Wendy creates a space for Latin communities in Brisbane and across Australia who have been marginalised—whether due to language barriers, experiences of violence, disability, or exclusion—where they can share their stories freely and find solidarity in a community that sees and values them.
Communication as a Tool for Transformation
Wendy has turned communication into a tool for change and representation.
From her studies in Social Communication, specialising in Kinetic Communication (Body Language) and a Diploma in Children's Literature, to her work with vulnerable communities, women and children at risk, migrants, and people with disabilities, she has combined her expertise in storytelling, multicultural communication, and purpose-driven podcasting.
With over a decade of experience in radio, theatre, and digital communication, Wendy has developed and strengthened her ability to connect with diverse audiences and create impact through storytelling.
Now based in Brisbane, Australia, Wendy has found a home surrounded by multiculturalism, nature, and a vibrant community.
Beyond her work as a communicator and content creator, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, cycling, and gatherings that foster authentic connections.
She is also an entrepreneur and Beauty Therapist, a passion she pursues through her small beauty business. Her focus on wellbeing and self-care reflects her life philosophy:
to heal, transform, and empower from the inside out.
